LADIES DAY TOURNAMENT

We start our season with the much needed......mulligan!

 

Each player can take 1 mulligan on the front nine and 1 mulligan on the back nine.

 TEE TO GREEN

 

 

In addition to keeping a score for posting purposes, record the number of shots it takes to get onto the green, e.g., if you have a 7 on a hole - on in 4 and 3 putts - score a 4 next to the 7. Add up these "tee to green" shots and submit them to the golf shop. Your tournament score will be based on 50% of handicap.

 LADIES DAY TOURNAMENT

 FOUR-BALL TOURNAMENT, ROUND 1

 

2nd Round by June 13

3rd Round by June 27

4th Round by July 11

 

Your partner should be different than your Member-Member partner. Partners' handicaps must be within 10 strokes of each other. If the difference is greater than 10 strokes, the higher handicap player will reduce her handicap to comply with the 10-stroke differential.

 

The format is the better ball of partners, match play. Strokes will be given off the lowest handicap player in the match. (Example: If the four players have handicaps of 18, 20, 22 and 28, the 18 handicap will play with no strokes, the 20 handicap will get 2 strokes, the 22 handicap will get 4 strokes and the 28 handicap will get 10 strokes).

 

Handicaps for each match will be those current on the date the match is played.

LADIES HANDICAP TOURNAMENT

 Monday, June 4 through Sunday, August 12

 

 1st Round by June 24

2nd Round by July 15

3rd Round by August 12

 

 

An individual match play net event. For each match, the higher handicapped player will be allowed the full difference between her handicap and the handicap of the lower handicapped player. The lower handicap player will play from scratch. 

 

Matches for each round may be played at any time within the specified period. Handicaps for each match will be those current on the date the match is played. Make your own playing arrangements.

An individual net event using 100% of handicaps. Hand your scorecard in to the golf shop at the end of the first round on June 6. On June 13, pick up your June 6 scorecard and try to improve your score on each hole from the previous week.

 

Your better score for each hole from the two rounds will be your tournament score.

 LADIES DAY TOURNAMENT

 MEMBER/MEMBER

 

 

A 36-hole best ball, net event using 85% of handicaps. Choose a partner who is different from your partner in the Four Ball Tournament. There are no restrictions on partner handicaps in this two-day event.

 

On each play date, a team's score will be the 18-hole total of the partners' better net score on each hole. Score cards should be handed into the golf shop after play each day. Ties will be decided in a sudden death playoff.

 RANDOM DRAW

 

Players from different classes will be randomly drawn to create teams consisting of 3 or 4 players (depending on sign up numbers). The format will be 2 Best Balls (net) on the crossover holes - total the nine best scores of the crossover holes 1&10, 2&11, 3&12, etc.

 

All players who wish to participate should be signed up by 12 noon the day prior to the tournament.

 

*Please arrive by 8:15 in order to be at your designated starting tee on time.

 MODIFIED NASSAU & CWGA MEDALLION QUALIFYING

 

 

Three winners - low front, low back and low total.

 

This tournament will also serve as the qualifying round for the CWGA Medallion Tournament to be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012. The low gross and low net CWGA players will represent Black Hall in the CWGA Medallion Tournament. (The CWGA tournament is open to all CWGA members with no handicap constraints on participation).

 SENIOR & SUPER SENIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

Entry to the Senior and Super Senior Championships is limited to players 60 years or older and 70 years or older respectively on July 22, 2012.

 

Both championships are 36 holes of gross stroke play, with 18 holes played on Monday, July 23, and 18 holes played on Wednesday, July 25. In the event of a tie in either Championship, play will be immediately followed by a sudden death playoff commencing on the 1st hole.

 

Players who are 70 years or older must pre-select which of the two Championships they are entering prior to the start of play.

EXCEPT on Holes 2, 7, 12 and 18 - 2 Best Balls are needed.

 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP/ FLIGHTS CHAMPIONSHIP

 Qualifying:  Wednesday, August 8

1st Round:  Friday, August 10  

Club Championship 2nd Round / Flights Finals:  Wednesday, August 15

Club Championship Final:  Wednesday, August 22

                  

This event is played without handicaps. A qualifying round of stroke play will determine the seeding for a match play tournament. The 2010 Club Champion is exempt from qualifying and will be seeded number 1. The 7 lowest stroke play qualifiers will be seeded into the first and second championship flights and will play according to the following pairings:  Flight 1:   1 vs. 8, 4 vs. 5

    Flight 2:   2 vs. 7, 3 vs. 6

 

The winners of these 2 flights will play for the Championship. For tied scores, seed rankings will be determined by a match of cards per the USGA recommended method.

 

 

 

 

The rest of the field will be placed into flights according to their qualifying scores.  Within each flight in round 1 (1 and 4 and 2 and 3 will play) in round 2 (the winners will play for 1st and 2nd in the flight and the losers of match one will play for 3d place).

 

Ties for all match play rounds will be decided in sudden death playoffs starting on the 1st hole immediately following the conclusion of each match.

 

There is no limitation on the number of flights except that each flight must have 4 players.

 

A championship celebration will follow play on August 22.

At the end of the round, all players will submit their score cards to the pro shop. The cards will be shuffled and teams will be picked at random. The score for the best team wins.

This is an individual event.  Keep gross scores and net scores using your full handicap.  The lowest gross and net scores among the field on each hole will be considered for a skin.

 

If players tie for the lowest gross or net score on a hole, there is no skin. One only wins a skin if you are the only person to have the low gross or low net score on a hole.

Chose your own partner. There are no restrictions on partner handicaps.

 

Six holes of best ball play; 6 holes of alternate shot play and 6 holes of a scramble.

 

The best part - There is a prize for each category and an overall winning team. (so ... those who don't like alternate shots - not to worry!).
